[AP] MICR Font for Check Printing

Created by Halie Buckingham, Modified on Mon, 5 May at 8:46 AM by Halie Buckingham

On your computer, look to see if this font is installed.

  • Go to Control Panel > Fonts
  • In the search at the top, type in the name of the font you found on your check and hit Enter. Note: sometimes the font will be inside a font folder containing several fonts. For example, if you search for "Narrow", you will pull up the "Arial" folder. If you open that folder, you'll find some "Arial Narrow" fonts.
  • If you see a font folder when you search for your MICR font, open it to make sure the exact font name is inside.

If the font does not exist on your computer, you'll need to get a copy of that font or font folder from another computer that can print the MICR font successfully, or from some other source.

  • Once you've copied the font to your computer, double click the file, and then click Install in the upper left corner to install it.

Once the file is installed, log out and back into Vista in order for Vista to update.
